Studio Sio, led by interior designer Shanta Trusewich, designed the Manaaki Trading flagship retail store in Matakana, New Zealand, in collaboration with Manaaki founder Kat Tua. Manaaki is an Auckland-based fashion brand grounded in Māori culture and design. The interior uses natural materials, considered spatial planning, and a warm tonal palette to create a space connected to Aotearoa in its materiality and expression.
