Junior Interior Designer or Interior Architect (New Zealand)

Location: Auckland
Type: Project-based

Studio Sio is looking for a thoughtful and detail-oriented junior designer or interior architect to join us on a project-by-project basis. You’ll support sampling, design development, drawing packages, and documentation across residential and boutique commercial projects in both the USA and NZ. The role is primarily work-from-home but we need someone Auckland based for site attendance and regular meetings.

We’re after someone with a good eye, confidence in talking to clients or trades, strong drafting skills, and confidence in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and the Adobe Creative Suite. Bonus points if you’re comfortable juggling a few tasks at once and working independently when needed. A drivers license is required for building site and showroom visits.

This role is ideal for someone looking to grow in a small, collaborative team with flexible hours and evolving opportunities.

Please email info@studiosio.co.nz with a short description of your experience, your CV, and portfolio.

Interior Design Project Manager (New York City)

Location: NYC-based (in-person site visits required)
Type: Freelance/Contract

Studio Sio is looking for an experienced, highly organized project manager to keep timelines tight and communication clear on our NYC-based design projects. You’ll liaise with trades, suppliers, and clients, manage procurement, track schedules, and support the design team with coordination and delivery.

This role suits someone with prior experience in interior design or architecture project management, strong people skills, and an eye for detail. As our team works internationally, the flexibility and knowledge to work independently is key. The ability to work fluidly as projects ebb and flow is key. Experience working with a remote team is a huge bonus. The role is primarily work-from-home but we need someone NYC based for site attendance and regular meetings. You’ll work closely with the principal designer and contractors — this is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on collaboration but doesn’t need their hand held.

Please email info@studiosio.co.nz with a short description of your experience, your resume, and portfolio.
