Interior Design Project Manager (New York City)
Location: NYC-based (in-person site visits required)
Type: Freelance/Contract
Studio Sio is looking for an experienced, highly organized project manager to keep timelines tight and communication clear on our NYC-based design projects. You’ll liaise with trades, suppliers, and clients, manage procurement, track schedules, and support the design team with coordination and delivery.
This role suits someone with prior experience in interior design or architecture project management, strong people skills, and an eye for detail. As our team works internationally, the flexibility and knowledge to work independently is key. The ability to work fluidly as projects ebb and flow is key. Experience working with a remote team is a huge bonus. The role is primarily work-from-home but we need someone NYC based for site attendance and regular meetings. You’ll work closely with the principal designer and contractors — this is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on collaboration but doesn’t need their hand held.
Please email info@studiosio.co.nz with a short description of your experience, your resume, and portfolio.
Interior Design INTERN (AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND)
Location: This role is based in Auckland. Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand.
Type: Freelance/Contract
We’re looking for a thoughtful and detail-oriented interior design intern to join Studio Sio in Auckland. This is a paid, contract role supporting a small, high-end design practice working across residential, retail, and hospitality projects in New Zealand and New York.
You’ll be involved in a bit of everything - sourcing, social media, sample preparation, drawing updates, presentations, and general studio support. It’s a hands-on role, best suited to someone who is curious, organised, and genuinely interested in how projects come together behind the scenes.
You don’t need to know everything, but you do need to be good at talking to people and taking initiative, care about materials, proportion, and the small decisions that make a space feel resolved. A working knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Suite, or AutoCAD is helpful, but not essential.
This role is ideal for a current student or a very recent graduate looking to gain real experience within a design studio.
Please email info@studiosio.co.nz with a short description of your experience, your resume, and portfolio.
