Lingua Franca Flagship, New York — Interior Design by Studio Sio
Cashmere, protest, and a little bit of mischief.
Studio Sio designed the Lingua Franca flagship retail store on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village, New York City, completed in 2018. Lingua Franca is a New York fashion brand known for its hand-embroidered cashmere knitwear and socially engaged identity. The interior features a warm natural palette, vintage furniture, custom open shelving, and bespoke detailing throughout. The project was covered by Vogue, Architectural Digest, the New York Times, Town and Country, and WWD.
The Lingua Franca flagship is more than a store — it's a manifesto in soft knitwear. Studio Sio balanced structure with softness, open shelving with relaxed displays, with subtle nods to protest culture layered among the cashmere. A space for conversation and collaboration as much as retail.
